The New Testament Priesthood

In the past five weeks, we reviewed the messages given over the New Year’s Conference. We have seen the examples of the Old Testament priesthood. From this week on, we would like to fellowship about the New Testament priesthood, in reality. With the written outline that is provided here as this week’s “diet,” we encourage all to fellowship, in small groups, about the following two points:

1.      Fellowship over the materials provided here.

2.      In addition, each group can also compile a list of NT verses that are related to your own aspirations and experiences as a NT priesthood.

When we come together next Lord’s Day, each group could bring your fruits of laboring as offerings for others to participate in. These fruits could be from either or both points, and the additional group fellowship. If for any reason you missed the time to meet with someone else during the week, we still encourage you to write down your point and verses in the “comment” section. Or, bring your portion to share on the Lord’s Day for others to participate in.

Due to the short, available time of our small groups, we encourage each group to use their meeting time to fellowship about the main points included in the laboring material first. Then, after all the groups come up with a list of NT verses and points of burden, we could compile each of the small groups list together as a base for next week’s laboring material and fellowship.

As a Royal Priesthood in the New Testament time, we pursue and we live out what we have seen. Let’s have a life that is filled with the fragrance of Christ to God and on behalf of others. Our hearts are for the caring for others and for the expressing of Christ in our daily living, a real meal offering and peace offering. This is also the real course that we desire to run and to finish.
