Our Labor In The Lord Is Not In Vain

(Based upon I Cor.15:58)

1. Since we believe in His resurrection
Then never be discouraged or dismayed
For our labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Lab’ring in Life’s resurrection power
Not by our natural abilities,
Then our labor in the Lord in not in vain.

Chorus:
Therefore, beloved, be steadfast, immovable,
Always abounding in the work of the Lord,
Knowing that your labor is not vain in the Lord.

2. As we’re abiding in resurrection,
God’s purpose eternal will be fulfilled
Then our labor in the Lord is not in vain.
And the Christ whom we have experienced,
We’ll speak as life to those who are unsaved,
Then our labor in the Lord is not in vain.

3. When we serve the saints, we then life minister,
Build with silver, gold, and precious stones,
Then our labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Until the day of the Lord’s return,
Our labor pleasing may be in Your view,
Then our labor in the Lord is not in vain.

4. We pray our labor will be rewarded
The day the Lord in whom we love returns ,
Then our labor in the Lord was not in vain.
It’s by Your faith we have labored,
To us, Your smile, “Well done”, is our reward,
Gaining You, our labor never was in vain!

Background: Lord, Your life is burdened for people; it cares for people, those saved and those unsaved. Lord, You have placed this very same life within us, and I just pray that it is out of Your life that we, that I, labor. It’s so easy to fall back upon ourselves when we see needs, and then care for others according to ourselves, apart from Your life, and when we do, then our labor is vain. O Lord, save us from our natural life! May our labor be initiated by You and carried out through Your life.
